I'm gonna cry...

We were just about to head out for the day. I put Cooper in the back seat and went to deal with the stroller. I heard something and it sounded like he was choking. I looked at him and sure enough he was choking to the point that I frantically reached to undo his car seat to sit him forward or pull him out. As I reached for him he threw up! A whole lot too. There was a puddle of it under his butt. He even had it coming out of his nose. I just can't seem to laugh this one off. It was running out his nose and mouth and he was just looking up at me helplessly. I got scared. Called hubby and he said that he was probably fine. Came back upstairs and took a part the car seat to wash it. But first I just held onto Cooper. He cried. I cried and heck I still am.
He is now out. He had a rough night last night therefore I didn't get much sleep either. I feel so bad for him. I feel so helpless, confussed. Is my baby sick? Is it ok to still go camping? We leave Friday morning.
Well, he is sleeping so should I.

Sometimes it's good to cry. But remember that all will be well. I remeber a similar incident with Fiona when she was a baby. She was siting on the carpet and suddenly turned blue. I did the infant heimlick manuever on her and out came a penny that was blocking her windpipe. I nearly cried then.
I reread your comment on my post father's blog and wanted to reassure you that you will do fine and that God will guide you through the Holy Spirit to raise your son in Jesus.
Remember that you are truly blessed with your husband and little son. I will keep you in my prayers.
God bless

Hey Misty, sorry to hear about your scare.... this is off topic, but i just wanted to share with you 2 books that I devoured because they were so amazing. The first one is called "Bringing up Boys" by Dr. Dobson - i'm SO glad i read it, and the other one - which has saved my life is "Babywise" - how to get your baby to sleep through the night consistantly - it works!!!!! I fed by demand for 6 weeks -day and night, and let me tell ya, it wasn't working for Ryder or myself. I was beginning to think he was colic because he would scream all the time. I was feeding him many times in the night because he seemed hungry. So I said, i need to try something different for my sake and everyone around me - i was recommended this book, and I devoured it in a day - it's not very long. I started implimenting the babywise principles the next day... it was a hard week, but now he sleeps through the night every night for 7-8 hours in a row!!!! PRAISE GOD!!!!!!! anyway, thought i would just share some success... you can pick up both those books at the house of james. or if you want to borrow them....
